Sandy is a veteran teacher who came to Lexis this year to teach in the Middle School.  Her education experience includes three years as a resource room teacher for grades 2-5 in the Cave Creek Unified School District and three years as the Director of Special Education/Assessment Coordinator for a small K-8 Charter School in Cave Creek.  Prior to coming to Lexis, Sandy was a Service Coordinator for 7th and 8th grade students in the Deer Valley School District where she taught Language Arts, Math, History/Social Studies, and Science.  Sandy is a passionate and dedicated educator who has made a commitment to the education of students with disabilities.  She was recently awarded the Silver Apple Award by Channel 3 TV and Ace Air for her dedication to her students.

 When not teaching, Sandy can be found traveling to her condo in Flagstaff or around the country, reading, cooking, or engaged in yoga or needlecrafts.
