Laura brings a wide range of experience to the Lexis Prep faculty. She is currently the Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator where she works closely with teachers and with small groups of students. Laura began her career in education following a successful career in the Information Technology industry. After moving to Scottsdale in 1998 from her home state of Georgia, Laura began her personal Discovery Toys business while raising her children. During this time, she began teaching in her church school while also serving on their Preschool Board and Children’s Education Committee. Laura has also provided a Music Memory curriculum and instruction to the Scottsdale Unified District schools and has developed Artist grants as well as heading the Arts and Education Committee. Prior to coming to Lexis two in 2010, Laura worked for several years in a private day school for children with special needs. Laura graduated from University of Georgia where she majored in Psychology and obtained her Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix.
Laura is the mother of two children. Her hobbies include tennis, hiking, dance, music.
