Nicole Schoonover is returning to Lexis to teach a second and third grade class this year.  She came to Lexis in February, 2011, and assisted in a classroom with students in kindergarten, first, and second grades.   Before moving to Arizona, Nicole taught first grade in Olathe, Kansas for four years and discovered her passion for teaching children with special needs.  She loves working with all children to help them achieve their full potential.  Nicole earned her degree in Elementary Education from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, and plans to begin graduate work in special education in the near future. 

When not working with students, Nicole enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
